Dr. Richard Hansen is the clinical director of High Altitude Spine and Sport located in Boulder, CO. His clinic specializes in sports injury rehabilitation and athletic conditioning. He holds specialty certifications in strength and conditioning (CSCS), weightlifting (USAW), and has attained his Diplomate in sports medicine through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Additionally, Dr. Hansen has served as the president and head coach of the Roots Running Project, a non-profit Olympic Development endurance running group, since 2016. Prior to his professional life, Dr. Hansen competed collegiately in cross country and track and field for UC San Diego.
